My Story
Om Taowi has cultivated an ongoing relationship with Taoism as an embodied practice for over 20 years. He was first introduced to Taiji (Tai Chi) in University where he practiced 3 days a week for a year. From the beginning he was able to sense & feel Qi (Chi). On the final day of class, the routine was sped up, and the only way to describe what happened was as if the world was moving in fast & slow motion at the same time. Forever altered by the experience, this sparked Om's curiosity into all things spiritual & mysterious, especially Taoism, as this is the origins of Taiji, Qigong, Acupuncture, TCM, Feng Shui, & Martial Arts. This is when he discovered the teaching of Mantak Chia & began practicing his teachings.

At the time, having to navigate the threats of Chicago as a youth, while processing turbulence in his home dynamic, life had hardened Om. It was through Taoism that the awareness of the anger, pain, & frustrations of his upbringing, offered an opportunity for balance. The Tao saved Om's life from a path of destruction & negativity back towards a path of health, righteousness, & spirituality.

Years later when Om injured his knee & wasn't able to walk, he once again leaned on the Tao to heal his knee in record time. It was projected that the healing process would take anywhere from 3-12 months. Om was able to walk again in 2.5 months thanks to the Tao Arts. It was through this experience that he made the decision to dedicate his life to teaching this unique spiritual science. He packed up his life in the states and headed to South East Asia to deepen his practice, becoming certified in Qigong through YOQI, continuing his studies through Zidong, Master Gu, & Grandmaster Mantak Chia. He purpose is to share the teachings globally to those ready to learn.
